Security Archives offers a safe, clean, secure facility for storing confidential business records. Our records center is an original Albert Kahn, fireproof facility, designed to eliminate theft and fire & water damage. All documents are stored on high-density records storage racking systems. We use state-of-the-art technology and rigorously designed and monitored processes that constantly maintain the security of our clients’ confidential information. For decades Security Archives has been providing offsite storage and records management services to businesses throughout Michigan.

The Security Archives facility is an original Albert Kahn fireproof warehouse with over 100,000 square feet located at 11850 East Jefferson Ave, Detroit, Michigan that has been part of the city skyline since 1921. The facility is comprised of 8 floors, each floor being separated by a minimum of 18 inches of solid concrete, with the ground floor a minimum of 4 feet above grade level. Included is an environmental vault storage area that has a minimum 4 hour fire rating, maintains a constant 70 degrees Fahrenheit, 45% relative humidity and is equipped with a 4,000 pound safe door. The facility is equipped with intrusion, motion, closed circuit video cameras with motion detection, monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year by a central station.

Security Archives offsite records management service offers secure, compliant access to your business records when you need them most. You can retrieve your records stored with Security Archives year-round, 24/7. We utilize a records management software that includes a comprehensive inventory tracking system, creating a detailed audit trail for your hard copy records. You can track and maintain your inventory via our free web access portal.

The Security Archives Total Recall SQL Software developed by DHS Worldwide is utilized in over 1200 commercial record centers worldwide. Total Recall accurately tracks records from the initial add to final disposition through robust bar-coding functionality. Total Recall software offers 15 standard fields and 45 custom reference fields, all of which are customizable. Security Archives can capture essential data fields including box number, bar code, box size, location, department, budget code, major description, minor description, status, and box history (dates of check out and check in).

The Security Archives Total Recall software provides a proven chain of custody of all pickups and deliveries, including receipts and activity logs. Total Recall also provides the ability to view the live status of record locations, status of each record and perpetual history for all activities performed. With Total Recall’s Client Web Access, our clients have 24/7 access to quickly search and request inventory, generate order receipts, run inventory reports and schedule collections/deliveries.

Media Vault Storage

Security Archives data protection services help our clients preserve their backup media and meet regulatory privacy standards. At Security Archives, our media vault is designed for the long-term security and preservation of sensitive backup media. The vault is specially designed to protect and preserve backup media including computer backups, micro-media, redundant computers, pathology paraffin blocks, and other environmentally sensitive storage.

Inside the vault, climate control and monitoring systems regulate the temperature and humidity levels, while entry access controls, and surveillance systems provide constant security for your inventory.

We rotate both containerized and individually slotted media for our clients. One of our trained professionals will securely transport your tapes to our offsite media vault according to your backup rotation schedule, whether daily, weekly or monthly. Your media is bar coded, tracked within the vault to allow for rapid retrieval and then cycled back to you following your schedule or on an as-needed basis.
Security Archives tape rotation services support your backup strategy by ensuring your most recent backups are securely transferred to our media vault for safekeeping, and your offsite media is cycled back to you in a precise and sequential manner. Additionally, Security Archives can even send your files digitally with our Scan on Demand solution providing you with an electronic copy of your records.
